Reason for absence

Hi all,

Sorry I have not been updating the class blog. It had been a hectic month. However, it was good discipline for the pupils to remember and keep track of the numerous tasks that they needed to complete.
I will try my best to update the class blog regularly from now onwards.

Reading Treasury (Book Review)

I will be lending books from the class library to the pupils by this week. Each pupils is supposed to read a book from the class library and write a book review in the "Reading Treasury".
There are quite a number of books available. As long as they have finished reading the book and the review, they can come to me to exchange for another book to read and write. This is one way to inculcate a love for reading and writing. I will be checking on their reading treasury.

Do note that the books are the property of the school and the pupils are responsible for the books they bring home. Please remind your child to keep the books clean and do not misplace them.

Grammar & Vocabulary Assessment Book

Hi,

Every 10 days, I will give the pupils 5 vocabulary worksheets to complete. What they need to do :
-get a dictionary.
-find the meaning to each of the option in each question and write it on a separate piece of paper.
(A different piece of paper for each exercise)
-Complete the exercise.
-Staple the paper to the related exercise.
*Do the same for each vocabulary worksheet.)
The 1st set of work is due on 9 February 2010(Tues). I gave the assignment last Friday(29 January 2010)

Purchase of Magazines / Assessment Books

Hi,

I have just given the pupils 2 letters from the school regarding the purchase of magazines :
-Science Spy
-Asian Geographic Junior
-Young Scientist
Please note that these magazines are not compulsory to purchase.
The vendor will be coming down on 28th & 29th Jan 2010 from 9am to 4pm and they will be stationed at the canteen to collect order forms and payment. Please do not ask your child to pass the form and money to me. More details can be found in the letter.

The school has also designated 2 assessment books to be used as supplementary materials for the P3 level and has already placed orders with our suppliers. The books are already discounted and the title and prices are stated below :

-Listening Comprehension Primary 3 (not the title, will let you know later)---$3.55
-New English Grammar & Vocabulary Worksheet Primary 3----$3.50

The total cost is $7.05

Please pass the exact amount of money to your child by next Monday and they will received the books by end of next week.

Hi,

Welcome to all pupils and parents of P3.4 from Gongshang Primary School, 2010.

This is my class blog , which will be used to communicate important information such as homework and any other official documents which were given to your child. Please note that they should still be recording their homework and related matters in their notebook and keeping important letters from the school in their personal file. This is an added assurance to parents in case they happen to misplace the information and details.
